| Jim Moo Cow
I was born in the Boston area in 1971. I lived in Belmont, MA my entire
life until I left for college. I grew up on Little Pond along the Arlington/Belmont/Cambridge
border and quickly fell in love with plants, animals, and the study of
ecology. At first it was trapsing through the woods, fishing, catching
frogs and turtles.Later it was leaving home for the University of Vermont
to study Wildlife and Fisheries Biology, which was my B.S. I had already
gotten into hardcore/punk at that point. The spring of 1989 I was introduced
to both the Dead Milkmen and Slapshot! I know, a crazy mix. I quickly
fell in love with the whole scene and started to going to shows as often
as possible and absorbing all things hardcore punk. After graduation from
college I returned to Boston for a short time and then relocated to Madison,
WI to pursue my dream of working in the environmental conservation field.
Things were going well for awhile, I even got my graduate degree from
the University of Wisconsin, but I made some poor choices and had to regroup.
I moved back to Belmont MA in July of 2003 and have refocused
myself. My record label and my love for all things wild renewed, I intend
to be back were I was within a year and to surpase that soon thereafter.
Moo Cow Records has been in existence since 1993 and it is not going anywhere
anytime soon. |
