Fall Silent

"1997" 7" / CD-single

Another one of my more popular releases. I saw this band at a community center show in Madison, WI that Ian from Fistheldhigh Records booked. They were simply amazing. Powerful, fast, tight, just great all around. The vinyl came out first and then the CD-single was issued with bonus tracks. Normally that wouldn't be something I would be into, but the "Sesame Street" theme song cover they did had to be made available to the public. Just amazing. This was the first time I had ever done a CD-single sleeve and I made the mistake of turning the silver part of the CD toward the glued seam of the sleeve. While shipping the band their copies apparently the summer heat softened some of that glue and it stuck to the CDs and ruined a few dozen or so. That pissed Levi of Fall Silent off. I can understand him not being happy, but to me it was an honest mistake that could easily be corrected by replacing the damaged CDs. I dunno, each to their own, but we were definitely at a different place in the hardcore scene. Fall Silent were (are?) very professional in how they handle themselves. That is one of the reasons they were so damn good. I try to put out good records, but this is just a part of my life and it is not a profession to me. Damn good single though. I'm sure this will be a classic when people look back at it.
