DISTRO TITLES

2:20 "S/T" CD
2:20 are from Norway and play mid-tempo punk that is at the same time has an upbeat, melodic sound, yet also has a slightly metal / crusty edge to it (in other words, this is an updated version of the classic Norwegian punk sound). Great CD on Sjakk Matt Plater.

Acid Reflux 7"
Sick of those bands that are way too serious these days? Well, here you go. ACID REFLUX bring the FUN back to Hardcore Punk. Completely Sarcastic and funny lyrics belted out over some intense hardcore punk is what you get here. This EP contains selected tracks from their unbelievable demo. However, they are remastered, resequenced, and it's on VINYL! 8 songs in 8 minutes, need we say more? Pink cover, black vinyl press.

Alarme "Walk Together, Thrash Together" 7"
Fast and catchy thrashcore from Brazil. They take plenty of influence from bands like What Happens Next?, and more bands from the circle-pit thrash revival!

Against Empire / Auktion split 7"
2 new tracks of hardcore fucking punk offered up by both bands on this great split release. Against Empire deliver 2 of there newest songs yet again stepping out of the boundaries but still great and spewed out in full force. A bit more straight forward and unique then there previous releases. On the other side, you have here one of the most active bands in Sweden and are constantly touring Europe. Auktion offers 2 tracks filled with high energy and catchy anthems, previously recorded but never released until now!

All Out War "Hymns of the Apocalypse" 7"
This is the long awaited repress of the out of print 7" originally released on S.U.R. Records. These 2 songs from NY's ALL OUT WAR were originally intended for an Astor Records NYHC compilation that never saw the light of day. ALL OUT WAR is a punishing display of the aggression of hardcore crossed with the brutality of metal while avoiding the shortcomings of both genres. To get a taste of ALL OUT WAR's musical style, on this classic piece of Vinyl, envision Carcass colliding head on with "Age Of Quarrel" era Cro- Mags

AMÖBA "En Döende Värld" 7"
7 raging tunes of Swedish Rå-Punk Mangel from Umeå.

AMÖBA "En Döende Värld" 7"
Their follow-up to their En Döende Välrd 7" from last year. More sonic, chaotic Mangel from North Sweden keeping it rough & raw! 300 copies.

ATENTADO “todo esta oscuro" 7"
Great new new band from Barcelona, Spain with members of Siberia, Horror, Uber and more

Aughra "Proof of Darkmater / Light the Lights" LP
After numerous splits and EP's, AUGHRA's first ever full length is now upon us

Beyond the Fences
"No Ceiling in the Sky" 10"
Put your hands up in the air if you are a freedom fighter! The raging lust to fill voids with beauty and love. The importance of strengthening the networks of animal liberation. The helping hand to fill empty stomachs on the fields in South-America. The songs to fan the flames of discontent. Refuse! Resist! This is our voice. Beyond The Fences are 5 people from Bodø in northern Norway, joining the international DIY-scene to play punk-rock. For fans of JR Ewing, Refused, The Spectacles and smashing states not dreams.

Big China & Little Trouble "Black Blood of the Earth " LP
Horror-inspired collaboration between Mike Haley (Electric Human Project, Wether) and Brent Eyestone (Magic Bullet, Aughra, Forensics, etc.) LTD 200 pressing.

Black Market Fetus / Wasteoid split LP
A Lethal combo of midwest lunatic thrash bands!!! Nebraska's WASTEOID have not released any new material since the highly acclaimed "Total Pukeoid"LP in 2001. This new barrage of thrash lays waste to all, delving into ultra-thrashcore and power violence with tenacity. Your long 5 year wait is over!! Iowa's BLACK MARKET FETUS has toured the globe since their 2004 "Midwest Meltdown"CD on Six Weeks. This new session destroys with that same, finely honed combination of grinding thrash and death metal leads and breakdowns. Finely both bands return with their best material unleashed and unforgiving!!

Burial Year "Pestilence" LP
After TAKARU broke up Sean, DuWayne and Aaron had still so many ideas they couldn´t stop playing… BURIAL YEAR was born w/ the help of Dan Light in the Attic on Bass. The 4 piece did a US tour and released a 12" on Weavin Wheat Records (the Cd version came on Alone Records). After that Josh from BULLETS IN joined the Band on vocals and they recorded a full length (the CD version will be on ALONE records). If you still remember TAKARU, take what they were doing at the end w/ a little bit less hardcore and a little bit more metal and more breakdowns. So you got a nice mix of all their previous bands that are TAKARU, A LIGHT IN THE ATTIC, RUAHEDA and SUICIDE NATION.

Chain Breaker 7"
Fast, brutal & raw hardcore from Germany. Ex MORSER/Y/CRUDE BE folks. Click here for songs.

Chain Breaker / Monster split 7"
Mönster are Motörhead loving d-beat junkies, Chainbreaker show the world what aggressive hardcore is about..., silkscreened covers.

Clusterfux / Apocalyptic Christ split 7"
Clusterfux: 2 tracks of slightly anthemic fast punk rock, the backing vocals actually add alot, there is a breakdown or two, but overall just straightforward good punk rock. This band is from Colorado. A.C. is from... wll I can't tell. Three tracks called "Meathook", "Bomb The World" and my fav "Emo Destroyers. Some patches and stuff too. Thick vinyl, color vinyl, nice quality for this type of diy punk. #'d out of 500.

Coaccion "Sin Nada" 7"

Constant State of Terror "War With No End" 7” Constant State of Terror are a DIY Hardcore Punk band from Brighton, UK. This is their 5 track demo put to vinyl. Their sound is reminiscent of bands like Discharge, Antisect, Legion Of Parasites & later Doom, or more recent comparisons of Substandard & Hellkrusher.

Control De Estado "Acto Criminal" 7"
Here's the debut release from Florida's hardcore three-piece Control De Estado, and holy sh*t, it's a ripper! The six songs on here are over before you can piss your jeans, but you'll have plenty of time for that when you're sitting around the nursing home wondering why you wasted your life. Comparable to their maniacal label mates Ataque Frontal, C.D.E. blows apart 90 percent of the current crop of "HC" bands around today. They have that horrible high-treble-wall-of-noise sound backing the guitars that fits so perfectly with this kind of pissed music (think Unholy Grave or Disclose). Mean and uncomfortably ugly HardCore, which would make a perfect match for your personality (if you were hardcore). Comes on mean and uncomfortably ugly pink vinyl!!

Crimen De Estado 7” Debut 6 track ep from crimen de estado who feature members of invasion and firmeza 10. the single harks back to the glory years of european hardcore in the early 80's - think anti dogmatikss, negazione and mg15. The drums are chaotic, the bass distorted and relentless and the guitar rages on top - it sounds like it could fall apart at any moment. Limited to 300 copies with hand stamped labels and chunky screened brown card or gray paper sleeves.

Crux 7"
Dark, epic crust hardcore from Sydney, Australia.

DISKOIRÄÄ / METRALLETA split 7"
Awesome Spanish DIY Crust Hardcore

Dismal "Terra Plague" 7"
RAW, PISSED, FAST SCANDANAVIAN INFLUENCED (EG. ANTI-CIMEX, 1ST SKITSYSTEM 7") CRUST / HARDCORE WITH TINGES OF AMEBIX AND CELTIC FROST (MORBID TALES ERA) HERE AND THERE. WHEN THE MOON IS GONE AND THE OCTOPODS TAKE OVER, THIS RECORD WILL BE YOUR ONLY DEFENSE. 5 SONGS, COMES WITH A POSTER DEPICTING YOUR BRUTAL FUTURE. SURVIVAL IS YOUR TORTURE...HEAL NOW OR PERISH!

Eksi Ekso "I Am Your Bastard Wings" 2xLP LP
New full length debut album from former members of ON FIRE and THE BURNING PARIS. Produced/mixed by Grammy-winner Malcolm Burn (PETER GABRIEL, DANIEL LANOIS)

The Farewell Reason / Outre split LP
12 songs from Outre and 5 from The Farewell Reason from Cakovec, Croatia. On Good Samaritan Records from Bosnia. Imported from Bosnia via Macedonia, now straight to you! Brand new copies, in great shape considering how much they traveled, but this is an Eastern Euro cover print job. I actually think it looks cool. Both bands post MP3s as free downloads around the web, I think this is cool enough if you're into the Euro late 90s emo sound that you'll pick this up.

Fighting Dogs 7""
RAGING RIFFS AT A DESTRUCTIVE PACE, THIS RIPPER HAS THREE SONGS OF SAVAGE ENERGY, DRIVING DRUMS, HARMONIC LEADS, AND PLENTY OF SPEED PICKING. FROM THEIR FINAL RECORDING SESSION, THIS E.P. CONTAINS 3 SONGS, 2 NEW ONES AND 1 RE-RECORDED THAT PREVIOUSLY APPEARED ON THE 2005 TOUR DEMO. HAILING FROM BALTIMORE AND PHILADELPHIA, THIS IS THEIR 4TH RELEASE; A TESTAMENT TO THE PROGRESSION OF THEIR SOUND. THE LYRICS TELL TALE OF A BLACKENED EARTH, BUT NOT WITHOUT THE WILL TO DREAM. THE MUSIC IS NESTLED SOMEWHERE BETWEEN THE EARLY PEACEVILLE SOUND AND MODERN SWEDISH CRUST. PRESSING OF 500. THE E.P. COMES IN A FULL COLOR SLEEVE WITH 2 SIDED INSERT. COVER ART BY MOSES SAARNI.

Forced March / Raiser split 7"
Killer fierce hardcore from Portland's Forced March, this completely blows away their other two releases, this group is hitting its stride! Raiser, from Spain, are back with more D-Beat Hardcore, brutal as ever!

Forensics "Green Lion" 7"
A monolithic, mountainous brand of heavy rock music played at celing-collapsing volume and intensity. This 7" features 2 tracks: a new instrumental track plus a cover of Murder City Devils' "I Drink The Wine". This is the first in a series of singles from Forensics that should form a voltron-lion in the end. Trip on that!

Gauze "5th" LP
FIRST PRESS. The Fifth LP from Tokyo, Japanese Hardcore legends, GAUZE. Since 1981 GAUZE have played some of the world's most intense hardcore punk, and at this point might hold the title of the World's greatest continually playing, original 1980's hardcore band . A "Living tradition" of Japanese hardcore that has never mellowed with age, GAUZE have played monthly in Tokyo for 27 years, devoting most of their energy to their live performances. Many of their songs are hammered out at their live shows long before their sporadic recorded releases (their last release was ten years ago!). GAUZE's songs just seem to get FASTER with each record, and the blinding ten tracks here are no exception. Issued in Japan in late 2007 as a CD-only release, this is one of GAUZE's rawest recording yet and it's first appearance on vinyl.

The Grey "Asleep at the Wheel" LP
The Grey is a powerful, melodic rock quartet that periodically delves into experimental tangents. With influences ranging from FUGAZI, THE JESUS LIZARD, SEAWEED, DRIVE LIKE JEHU, and Juno to TOM PETTY, THE MC5, NEIL YOUNG, and NICK CAVE, one can be assured that hints of styles, new and established, can be found in their post-rock stylings.

How We Lost The War "Jaywalker" 7"
6 tracks of bilstering New York hardcore, from Brooklyn's How We Lost the War. 350 pressed on clear vinyl, 1st press.

Hrydjuverk! / Patient Zero split 7"
This is the debut release on the label started by Mez from Leeds and what a corker! There is nothing I don’t like about this record! Patient Zero are a young band from Boston England that play short sharp fast screamed hardcore punk here, done well and pretty tight. Impressive! Hrydjuverk (from Iceland) are agood compliment to Patient Zero cause they are a bit different, employing more of a rockin’ slower sound but still raging as fuck. Fans of Tragedy and Severed Head of State take note of this band. Sound lyrics by both bands too.

V/A "Innocence Is Bliss" Cassette
I just found a box of some of the sealed cassette tape compilations I got from Rusty Nails, proprietor of Wasted Effort Records called "Innocence Is Bliss". I believe this came out in 1988, but it may have been 1989, it came out right when I was getting into punk. I've been told the Screeching Weasel song ("Merry Go Round") only appears here, but I have no idea if that is true. Complete line up (and origin): Borscht (NY), Angry Kids (MA), Vonny Bratchnies (RI), Chronic Disorder (CT), Stinking Badges (MA), Nuclear Ants (MA), Crash Course (MA), Toxic Shock (CT), Coffin Case (Italy), The Black Problem (LA), The Creeps (MA), Rise (Canada), Mouth (MA), Screeching Weasel (IL), MIMI & The Screachin' Chinchillas (MA), The Aboriginals (AL), Egg (MA)

Jiyuna! "The Devil is Waiting" LP
Jiyuna plays hardcore that is heavy, melodic, and passionate with odd time signatures. Influenced by stuff like Frail, Envy, Raein, old Cave In, and some (good) metal. Creative packaging as well, nicely screened covers.

Junta 7"
This is the long awaited repress of the out of print 7" originally released on S.U.R. Records. These 2 songs from NY's ALL OUT WAR were originally intended for an Astor Records NYHC compilation that never saw the light of day. Upstate, NY techincal Metalcore. This 4 song 7" is their debut release on the now defunct Dogprint release and shows the bands influences being drawn from metalcore legends like Converge and Shai Hulud but with a much more mid 90's emo-core feel like Frail or Swing Kids.

Kolokol "Flammer og Farger" CD
The CD version of the LP on Moo Cow. This has the full color booklet so you can get this album as the artists intended!! Ha ha! Put out by the righteous Sjakk Matt Plater, whom I have mad respect for! These were shipped to me without jewel cases but I'll ship them in a case I have lying around, if you want.

Makabert Fynd 7"
This record is brutal and a big change from what we usually release on Flat Black. This is intense Swedish hardcore that is played by guys that sound like they grew up listening to all the great Swedish bands of yesteryear. If you are a fan of the newer slew of hardcore bands that have come from that area like Fy Fan or Skitkids, you will dig this. Also, this is highly recommended for fans of Totalitar. Poffen sings backup on five of the tracks!

Malachi "Wither to Cover the Tread" LP
Malachi follow-up last year’s well-received self-titled release with more visions of bleak and drove hopelessness.

Maskari "Eden Compromised" 7"
Another Ohio local band post. This one is for Cleveland's crust influenced hardcore band, Masakari. Contains all four songs from their first 7" on Halo of Flies records. If you're into bands like His Hero is Gone, The Holy Mountain, or From Ashes Rise, check this out.

Mob 47 7"
At long last an official re issue (on Havoc) of this most classic Swedish hardcore 7". Mob 47 took the anger and intensity of early 80's Swedish hardcore and injected it with the speed and high energy of American Thrash. The result is some of the most powerful hardcore of the early 1980s. Recorded in 1984 these 8 tracks, one of which appeared on the PEACE comp, sent a shockwave through the world of hardcore. Powerful, fast and angry hardcore from some amped up young Swedes. This record has been bootlegged and re issued several times in different forms, but it's my intention to re produce the record as close to the way it dropped back in the 80's. The packaging is almost the same as the original except we've added a bunch of never before seen photos on the back of the insert.

Neon Nazis / Hips split 7"
Hips' follow up to a well recieved debut ep.. They deliever 2 new tracks that are better than anything ! On the flipside the Neon Nazis destroy with Dead Boys / Thunders attack...Bakersfield comes up . We all win.

Never Enough "Our Will Is Done" 7"
Never Enough's debut release is nothing short of excellent. With two demos under their belts, this record has been a long time coming, and it has been well worth the wait. Six songs of modern youth crew hardcore. Fast, heavy, and pissed off, while steering clear of the typical clichéd lyrics about backstabbing friends and bridges burned. This is hardcore for those that are fed up with a scene that has shifted from heartfelt songs and passionate people to fashion victims and blind acceptance of ideologies that wish to destroy any semblance of individuality. Which side are you on?

Nuclear Family 7"
3 TRACKS OF CATCHY, ERIE AND MELODIC PUNK WITH KILLER, VERY WELL SUNG FEMALE VOCALS. HAS A MORE STRIPPED DOWN WIPERS FEEL AT TIMES. MEMBERS OF LIMP WRIST AND ACID REFLUX

Our Times 7"
Our Times are a band from Buffalo, New York that rock the hardcore with elements of Lights Out, Righteous Jams, and Outbreak. The recording was done with Jocko at Indie Audio, the same guy who recorded the Bad Business, Black SS, and Witness records so you know it sounds hot.

PISSCHRIST / APPÄRATUS split 7"
Pisschrist are back with new hight voltage HC tunes like the Lp stuff. Apparatus from Malaysia - fucking distored SWEDISH D Beat hardcore

Pioggia Nera "Teatri Di Menzogne" LP
Heard of a band called NERORGASMO? Those early-'80s Italian punks were the Romans' answer to (Death Church-era) RUDIMENTARY PENI. Apparently they are also PIOGGIA NERA's main influence—everything from their dark, mid-tempo punk sound and growled vocal delivery to their religion-in-decline artwork has been appropriated for this LP. However, aside from the "tribute band" undercurrent, Teatri di Menzogne is a solid nine-track album—grim, demented, menacing punk noise. Recommended for anyone who digs the aforementioned two groups.(MRR)

Regulations "Different Needs" 7"
Four new tracks for 2007 from Regulations. An outstanding mix of the sounds of late 70's Swedish punk with the early LA scene. At first listen you hear the influence of the Germs and early Black Flag, but more structured and complex guitar work and arrangements on this release show that beneath the sneering raw hardcore punk is a more cerebral approach to hardcore song writing based on the 70's Svensk Punk sound. Top notch material from one of the best hardcore punk bands around today. Dark introspective lyrics, with the exception of New Ways which decries the recent election of a conservative government in Sweden "What Happened to My Say?"

Resistant Culture "Welcome to Reality" LP
Finally available on vinyl - the 2006 debut album from Los Angeles tribal grind / crust band RESISTANT CULTURE. Vinyl includes a bonus song not available on either CD version!

Resistant Culture has claims to fame in guitarist Jesse Pintado (RIP), who, post-Napalm Death, was working with the band before his untimely passing, and vocalist Anthony Rezhawk (aka "Tony Militia"), who did the last Terrorizer album alongside Pintado. However, this band more than stands on its own, and I'm astounded that I didn't hear of it earlier. This CD kills. It's crusty grindcore with tribal influences - but the latter are truly tribal, working in Native American drums, chants, and flutes. The riffs are crushing, the recording is crisp, and blastbeats strafe the mix powerfully and precisely. review courtesy of invisibleoranges.com

V/A "Retro Is Poison" LP A 4 way split from 4 of the best bands playing hardcore punk music. Ciril comes from LA and play awesome death punk style with awesome words and killer vocals. Active minds plays fast hardcore punk and come from England. They have been around for 20 years and they are just recorded for the 1st time in 7 years for this record. I Object just came of an awesome lp on alternative tentcales. They recorded 5 new songs just for this. Karnvapen Attack plays awesome punk in the vein of Mob 47. This also comes with a full booklet with words and art from all the bands.

Ringfinger "Decimal" LP
Debut full length from Tracy Wilson (former singer of DAHLIA SEED). 1st press.

Romance Of Young Tigers "I Have Supped Full of Horros" LP
I Have Supped Full Of Horrors is the formal launching of their previously self-released (and inaugural) triumphant bludgeoning of all things mediocre. 4 tracks, 35 minutes of sheer brilliance. A lot of bands can shove a wall of sound in your face. Plenty of bands have a guy or two who is technically "amazing." Very few bands can unite both into an engrossing, captivating listen... and even fewer can do so WITHOUT PERCUSSION. It is in this rare air that ROMANCE OF YOUNG TIGERS hovers high above the glut of instrumental rock to inundate listeners in recent times. For a band to come right out of the chute with such a dynamic and captivating sense of taste versus composition is truly a treat to behold and indicative of a revolutionary trajectory in years to come. They know when to come in, they know how to hook you, they know when to leave you wanting more.

Ruidosa Inmundicia "De Una Vez" 7"
This band, based in Vienna/Austria, is to me hands down one of the best Hardcore bands around. I´m not trying to tell you something, it´s the truth and everybody who bought their incredible demo or saw them live will totally agree. Two of the members are from Chile and the other 3 are from Austria. Musically, it´s a fantastic mix between, let´s say, "defiance of power" era Ripcord, Antidogmatikss and Uruguays Disidencia (that´s for the beautiful melodies they throw in occasionally). Needless to say that they are one of the most powerful live bands I have seen in years. This baby is gonna make you shit your pants, I swear!

Saboteurs "s/t" 7"
Garage Punk Mayhem from San Fransisco's Sabotuers . 2/3's of HIPS similar sound only more fucked up and wild . 600 copies pressed .

Sadville "Make Ready The Cross" LP
Debut LP by this five piece from Tennessee. Sadville play ultra heavy politically charged hardcore with heavy nods to Doom (UK), stoner rock, and thrashcore. Imagine a hybrid of Asschapel, Eyehategod, and His Hero Is Gone hanging out with Zann.

Semen "Masas obedientes individuos dominates" Cassette
Pro printed. 7 tracks. Amazing Discharge & Mob 47 fueled punk by this young punks from Bilbao. Pure raw anarkist attak!! Very nice fold-out artwork with poster one one side, the tape comes with fanzine too. Second press of 300 black shell tapes available.

Severed Head of State "Power Hazard" 12" EP Severed Head of State return with nine punishing new tracks. Hard driving riffs and angry vocals give this release a real fist pumping intensity. A lot of the songs are more mid tempo in the tradition of mid period Poison Idea and other hardcore punk bands that took some cues from Motorhead. Severed Head of State have been going for ten years now, but are a band with no geographic center and with all members playing in other bands. Guitarist Todd Burdette (Tragdy, His Hero Is Gone, Warcry) delivers some really searing guitar riffs on this LP and the guitar tone is perfect for the style, biting and corrosive like battery acid. Jack Control (World Burns to Death) has always impressed me with his raw and angry vocals and well thought out lyrics.

So Much Hate "How We Feel" LP
The re-release of Norway's So Much Hate's classic album called "How We Feel", this originally came out on x-port-plater from oslo in 1987. The record looks like the original but the cover is black/white as the original artwork was colored afterwards. The lyric sheet is exactly like the original, a 12" x 24" foldout. This is the first pressing of 700 that comes with an 8-page-fanzine with old interviews and liner notes by long time friends of the band.

State “Sanctimony” 7” 6 new ripping tracks from the classic MI band. This 7? will take you back to the early days. In your face vocals and over the top guitar leads. This band only gets better with age. Dont miss out.

Teen Cool / Gun Crazy split 7"
GUN CRAZY DELIVERS 2 GOOD TRASHY-PUNK ROCK NUMBERS HERE-"FACTORY LINE" AND "TALK TO JANE". BLUESY, PUNKY, CHUNKY ROCK ACTION. MAYBE A LITTLE DEVIL DOGS OR RIP OFF RECS. INFLUENCE? NOT THAT FAR FROM WHAT THE BORN LIARS ARE UP TO. THE TEEN COOL SIDE HAS "CRASH AND BURN KIDS" AND "DILEMMA DOLL". COOL ROCKIN SHIT.

This Time Around "Whats in Your Heart?"
Their debut vinyl release gives you 4 tracks of great old school hardcore, influenced by bands like Chain Of Strength and melodic guitarwork comparable to Stay Gold or Champion. Add to that the fury from Striking Distance and you can't go wrong. Impressive.

Ultratumbados "Requiem Para Una Decada" 7"
This is the debut EP by Chicago's Latino Punks, Ultratumbados. 5 songs of catchy and melodic punk with a dark feel. Bass driven, catchy hooks, solid drums, and dual vocals is what is to be expected from this record. Lots of influence ranging from Eskorbuto to Joy Division.

Under Pressure "Come Clean" LP
Born from long, cold Winnipeg winters, Under Pressure come blazing with ten tracks of rockin' hardcore punk with a bit of a crust influence, playing locally with bands like Tragedy and World Burns To Death and playing music reminiscent of that of Poison Idea, Discharge and Coliseum.

Valse Triste "Madon luku" LP
Bass-driven as fu*k-that's the instrument that's dominant here, although there's also some six-string mangling, as it's described on the case. Bottom-heavy aggro from this long-time Finnish band. Comparisons to NoMeansNo are kind of inevitable, given that bass-dominance, but Valse Triste favor a pure attack-not much ebb and flow or subtle shadings. These guys go from straight-ahead speed bombs to rhythmically complex arrangements. One constant is the ranting dual vocals that have the harsh inflection that's been a mainstay of Finnish hardcore. (Suburban Voice)

Whole In The Head "Reclaim Your Future" 7"

Gewohnheitstrinker "1984" LP
Rocking German street punk. Super production, great catchy song writing, fantastic musicianship and perfect backing choruses. This is an anti Nationalistic band on a great German DIY label!

Pahuus / Killing Ground
"split" 7"
Pahuus from Finland. Killing Ground from Tampa, FL.
